Mom, You are my guardian. My advisor. My best friend. My rock. My everything. You’ve always been there-making countless sacrifices. Our situation wasn’t always how it is now. Regardless, you ALWAYS put me and the boys before anything. We weren’t always friends in my younger years. You had to discipline me. “Tear your behind up” as you would say Although, I didn’t understand it at the time… I soon came to learn that it was so I could be molded into a respectable woman. My dad and I never met. And statistics show that children in single parent households are not as successful as two-parent households Well you must have done something right, because Im pretty damnsuccessful. Smart. Intelligent. Free-thinking. Friendly. Independent. God-fearing. Woman I thank you. I’m grateful for my stepdad, Kevin; but, you and I were kickin ass and taking names for awhile there. Thank you for wiping my tears. Calming me when I get nervous/anxious. Encouraging me to preserve through it all- ensuring I live up to my potential You taught me how to stand up for myself, without be a “B” You taught me that I would “Kiss a lot of ‘frogs’ before I married a ‘prince’ “ You taught me how to be a woman… an independent woman You taught me to always push myself and never settle Etc.
